Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2018 at the Clearwater Casino Resort

There are lots of places to celebrate the New Year in Washington. However, some of them would require an hour drive or even an overnight hotel stay. And nobody wants that, right? So here’s an option near home: the New Year’s Eve Bash planned at the Clearwater Casino Resort.

The party at Clearwater will start at 9 pm. in the Beach Rock Music & Sports Lounge. It’s for 21 and over only, and check this out: you need no link to purchase tickets because admission is free! Plus there will be free party favors and a cool countdown at midnight. Additionally, the New Jack City band will be playing R&B and top 40 hits throughout the night.

The Casino is just a 20-minute drive away from the Silverdale Ridge Apartments. Couldn’t get any more convenient; close by and easy on the wallet.

Whatever you do, we hope you have a fun and safe New Year’s celebration. We will “see you” again in 2018!

Find the best Black Friday deals at Kitsap Mall

If you are planning to be one of the over 135 million shoppers expected this Black Friday, let us suggest that you check out Kitsap Mall, which is just a 7-minute ride from Silverdale Ridge Apartments.

The holidays at Kitsap Mall officially start Nov. 11, when Santa arrives to take holiday pictures with you and your family. He will be waiting at the Center Court between Macy’s and Barnes & Noble, and you can catch him daily through Christmas Eve (except on Thanksgiving Day, ‘cuz Santa apparently likes turkey too).

But let’s get back to Black Friday shopping – Kitsap Mall will be open the evening of Thanksgiving Day from 6 pm to midnight, and will re-open on Black Friday at 6 am. So enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner and then get ready to buy some Christmas presents. The holidays are here and it is time to take advantage of the great deals!

Find a perfect pumpkin at the Pheasant Field Farm

Did you know that pumpkins originated in Central America? We learned this fun fact on the University of Illinois’ website. That means that they’ve come long ways to become a staple of our Halloween celebrations, and yet here they are!

If you’re still to buy some for carving, eating, or decorating, know that a great place to search is Pheasant Field Farm, which is a short 7-minute drive from Silverdale Ridge. The Farm is located at 13274 Clear Creek Road, in Silverdale 98383. The Farm is open from 10 am to 6 pm daily, and aside from pumpkins, you can buy great fruits, vegetables, salsa, and honey for your pantry. For an $8 fee, you can also enjoy the tallest corn maze in town. Click here to print a $2 discount coupon.

We hope you get the most handsome pumpkins in town. They’ve come from far away to brighten up your place! Enjoy the season and have an only mildly scary Halloween.

Drive to the Washington State Fair on Labor Day Weekend

The Labor Day celebration brings a 3-day weekend in which you must do anything but labor. So how about playing like a kid at the Washington State Fair? The Fair starts Friday, Sep. 1, and brings along a line-up of music performances, shows, games, food, and much more.

If you like big music concerts, know that Labor Day weekend at the Fair will feature Nickelback with Daughtry on Sep. 1, Lady Antebellum on Sep. 2, and Steven Tyler on Sep. 3. These concerts require purchasing a ticket, and that ticket also allows you entrance into the Fair.

Not into paying for big concerts? Then consider the free “End of Summer Bash,” which will happen Sep. 4, from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. This sounds like a great party where you could get lots of freebies. See the information here.

The Washington State Fair will be held at 110 9th Ave SW, in Puyallup WA 98371. It’s about a one-hour, 15-minute drive from the Silverdale Ridge Apartments.

Hold Onto Your Hat at the Kitsap County Fair & Stampede!

By now you must have heard of the Kitsap County Fair & Stampede. After all, it has been held annually since 1923 and at its present location since 1958. This is a grand five-day-long celebration (Aug.23 – 27) filled with activities for the entire family at an affordable price.

Think of a line-up of live music shows (like Daryle Singletary’s on Aug. 24) and comedians (like Paul Rodriguez), plus crafters and artisans, animal exhibits, dance performances, a rodeo, and so much more that you’re going to need the full five days to see it all.

The Fair wouldn’t be complete without carnival rides, of course, and you can now buy discounted tickets for them here.

Plan ahead so that your family can get the most out of the event. A full schedule of Fair events is listed on this page. The Fair is located just eight minutes away by car from the Silverdale Ridge Apartments. So ‘Hold on to your Hat’ (this year’s Fair theme) because you’re going to be there in a flash!
